In January 2018, a conference was held at the Catholic University of Central Africa (Ekounou Campus) on the theme “Management of the phenomenon of drug consumption in schools in Cameroon”. Organized by a platform of governmental and non-governmental organizations brought together by AEFJN, the conference aimed at stimulating public debate and mobilizing schools to better combat the circulation and use of drugs in schools.
By 8 am, participants from all over the country were present. Their geographical, social and institutional diversity was remarkable (attendance list attached). The work, mostly in French, was moderated by Dr Fadimatou MOUNSADE (Sociologist, FSSG / UCAC) and Mr AKOUE Valère also from UCAC. Mr. Landry SIMO, teacher at ESTIC and journalist at CRTV / Poste Nationale, and Mr. Christian ANOCK of UCAC, facilitated the day.
