Sr Berlaine reported about initiative of forming an Antenna in DRC. The report outlines the ongoing efforts to establish an AEFJN branch in Kinshasa despite organizational and logistical challenges. Since last year, the team has worked to engage member congregations and appoint representatives, successfully forming a core group of about ten participants even though several congregations remain unrepresented. Initial collaboration attempts with Brother Lwanga of the Comboni Missionaries were promising, leading to connections with Father Zolli at the Laudato si Center and a Zoom meeting where Brother Lwanga was elected coordinator, though he later withdrew due to other responsibilities. Subsequently, Father Jean Baptiste Musa (SMA) was appointed coordinator with Father Charles Mwanobe (SVD) as assistant, both of whom have expressed commitment to developing the branch in cooperation with the Secretariat and the Laudato si Center. The report also highlights efforts to strengthen ties with the local Church in Congo and to gather information from eastern DRC, where serious atrocities are occurring, in order to support future advocacy initiatives.
