In Cameroon, land grabbing remains a concern. Through an administrative act, the State government converted lands belonging to 26 villages in the Southern region to its private control and then transferred same to two companies: 26,000ha to Neo Industry and 30,700ha to Plants and Aquaculture of Cameroon (PAC) without respecting the regulations and the rights of the populations.

The report underlines the distress of the farmers, the murky role of some state representatives in defending private interests in disregard of the rights of the population and the socio-economic risks that the establishment of an agro-industry represents.
